The question that first drew me toward financial planning had nothing to do with markets or products and everything to do with a gap I watched play out in my own family, where someone who earned well and worked hard never had access to the financial strategies that could have helped him do significantly more with what he built.

That gap became much more than a personal observation when I started shadowing an advisor during my time at Regions Bank and saw how profoundly the right relationship between an advisor and a client could change the trajectory of someone's financial life. After building my foundation at Regions Bank and gaining experience at Equitable and through independent RIA work, I founded LH Financial to bring tax strategy, income optimization, estate planning, and business goals together as one connected conversation rather than separate, siloed decisions.

Some of what matters most in my work shows up in the quieter moments, like when a client of mine lost his father suddenly and he and his mother needed both guidance on the estate and someone who would stay present with them through it. Being trusted with that kind of moment, and being able to help them find a path forward through it, stays with me as a reminder of why the relational depth of our work matters as much as the technical precision behind it.

Outside of the office, I'm training for a Hyrox competition in Nashville, building toward a half marathon and a full marathon, and working stubbornly toward an Ironman Triathlon. My wife and I met when I was 17, and we've spent the years since going to concerts and eating our way through as many cuisines as we can find together. We have a son and a daughter and a strong community at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roswell, where I teach enrichment classes, serve on the finance committee, and sing during service. LH Financial also sits on the corporate advisory boards of the National Dental Association and Tuskegee University's Andrew F. Brimmer College of Business and Information Science.

Growing LH Financial into an organization that shifts the culture around financial access for service professionals, while creating real opportunities for the next generation of advisors coming up behind us, is the goal that gets me up in the morning and keeps me motivated in everything we do.
